Job Description
Appen is seeking a highly detail-oriented and analytical individual to join our team as an Apple Search Quality Analyst with a focus on Google and Bing search results. This is a 100% remote, contract position. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating the quality and relevance of search engine results, advertisements, and other online content. Your insights will directly contribute to improving the search experience for users globally. This position requires strong critical thinking, excellent research skills, and an understanding of cultural nuances and web trends. You will work independently, adhering to strict guidelines and maintaining high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate search engine results (Google and Bing) for accuracy, relevance, and quality based on provided guidelines.
- Analyze and rate the intent of search queries and the effectiveness of search results.
- Provide constructive feedback on various types of web content, including web pages, images, videos, and ads.
- Identify and report on emerging search trends and user behaviors.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding project details and proprietary information.
- Adhere to project-specific deadlines and quality metrics.
- Participate in ongoing training and calibration exercises to ensure consistent understanding and application of guidelines.
Required Skills
- Native-level proficiency in English (US English).
- Strong understanding of English-speaking cultures and web trends.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- High attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions precisely.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home office environment.
