Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Audio Care Representative to join our team in Short North, Columbus, Ohio. This role is essential for providing exceptional support and care to our clients. You will assist individuals with their hearing device needs, troubleshoot issues, educate on product usage, and ensure a positive experience. This position offers a generous sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line support for hearing aid users via phone, email, and in-person communication.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues related to hearing devices, guiding clients through common fixes.
- Educate clients on proper use, care, and maintenance of their hearing aids to maximize device longevity and performance.
- Schedule appointments for more complex repairs or adjustments with audiologists or specialized technicians.
- Maintain accurate and detailed client records and documentation in our CRM system.
- Collaborate closely with the audiology team and other departments to ensure seamless client care and service delivery.
- Process orders for supplies, accessories, and replacement parts for hearing devices.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a clear and empathetic demeanor.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and active listening skills in client interactions.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply technical product knowledge about hearing aids and related technologies.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications including CRM software, email, and word processing.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or support role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a healthcare support role, preferably within audiology or medical devices.
- Familiarity with audiology terminology or hearing aid technology.
- Associate's degree in a related field or a relevant technical certification.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish) is a plus.
