Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, engaging, and nurturing care for children of various ages in their homes.
- Organize and participate in age-appropriate activities, including creative play, outdoor adventures, and educational games.
- Prepare simple meals and snacks for children.
- Assist with homework and school projects as needed.
- Follow children's routines, including nap times, bedtimes, and meal schedules.
- Maintain a clean and tidy environment in areas used by children.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's activities, behavior, and any concerns.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven experience caring for children (e.g., babysitting, nannying, nursery work, youth groups)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for children
- Reliability and punctuality
- Ability to adapt to different family environments and routines
- Current enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Paediatric First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain one)
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant childcare qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare, Early Years Educator)
- Previous experience working with children in a professional setting for 6+ months
- Full UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Up-to-date safeguarding training
