Job Description
Join The Home Depot team as a Blind & Curtain Rod Fitter, specializing in precision installations. This role is perfect for individuals who possess a keen eye for detail, a steady hand, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. You will be responsible for accurately measuring, cutting, and installing a variety of window coverings and curtain rods in residential and commercial settings. ‘Subito’ means we’re looking for someone who can quickly adapt and become proficient, even if previous experience is limited, as long as you demonstrate the aptitude for precision task work and excellent customer service. This is an on-site role requiring travel to various customer locations within the West Valley City area.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate measurements of windows and wall spaces for blinds, shades, and curtain rods.
- Install various types of window coverings, including roller blinds, Venetian blinds, vertical blinds, and custom shades.
- Mount curtain rods and hardware securely, ensuring proper alignment and functionality.
- Utilize a range of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client queries and ensuring satisfaction with the installation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area during and after installations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues or adjustments on-site.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company protocols.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to precision.
- Basic proficiency with hand and power tools (drills, saws, measuring tapes).
- Ability to read and interpret measurements accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform tasks requiring bending and kneeling.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in carpentry, general construction, or window treatment installation.
- Familiarity with different types of window covering hardware and materials.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
