Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Nurse Manager to lead our dedicated nursing team in New Port Richey, Florida. This pivotal leadership role is ideal for a compassionate and driven professional committed to elevating patient care standards and fostering a supportive work environment. The Clinical Nurse Manager will oversee daily clinical operations, manage staff performance, implement quality improvement initiatives, and ensure adherence to all regulatory guidelines. You will play a crucial role in mentoring nurses, optimizing workflows, and contributing to the overall strategic goals of our facility. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strong clinical leadership and mentorship to nursing staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee daily patient care operations, ensuring high-quality, safe, and efficient service delivery.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor nursing policies and procedures in alignment with AdventHealth standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage staff scheduling, performance reviews, professional development, and disciplinary actions.
  • Actively participate in the recruitment, orientation, and retention of highly qualified nursing personnel.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and streamline care processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal healthcare regulations, as well as Joint Commission standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate departmental performance against key metrics, initiating corrective actions as necessary.
  • Participate in budget planning, resource allocation, and cost-containment strategies.
  • Serve as a patient advocate, addressing concerns and ensuring a positive patient experience.

Required Skills

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida or eligible for reciprocity.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting.
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive leadership experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical setting.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or other advanced degree in a related field.
  • Certification in Nursing Leadership (e.g., CNML, NE-BC).
  • Experience with Magnet Recognition Program standards and initiatives.
  • Prior experience in a similar-sized healthcare system.
