Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Security Specialist to join our dynamic security team in Raleigh, NC. This role is crucial for ensuring the robust security posture of Cisco’s cloud environments and services. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in cloud security principles, architecture, and compliance, with a focus on protecting sensitive data and systems across multi-cloud platforms. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and monitoring security controls, as well as responding to threats and vulnerabilities. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust cloud security architectures and controls across AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms.
- Perform security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability management for cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices for cloud environments.
- Monitor cloud security events, analyze alerts, and respond to security incidents effectively.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, GDPR, and CCPA.
- Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and IT teams to integrate security into the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Stay current with emerging cloud security threats, technologies, and industry trends.
- Provide expert guidance and mentorship on cloud security best practices to other team members.
Required Skills
- Extensive experience with cloud security platforms (AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, GCP Security Command Center).
- Proficiency in implementing security controls for IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments.
- Strong understanding of network security, identity and access management (IAM), data encryption, and key management in the cloud.
- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools and cloud security posture management (CSPM) solutions.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation of security tasks.
- Familiarity with container security (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless security.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CCSK, AWS Certified Security, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with DevSecOps practices and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
- Prior experience working in a global or multinational environment.
- Familiarity with incident response methodologies and digital forensics in cloud environments.
