Job Description
We are seeking highly skilled and intensely dedicated Critical Care Transport Nurses to join our elite team in Colorado Springs. This is a high-stakes, high-reward position for experienced nurses ready to provide advanced life support during interfacility transfers and emergency scene responses. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive critical care nursing in pre-hospital and interfacility transport environments.
- Assess, stabilize, and monitor critically ill and injured patients during transport.
- Administer medications, manage advanced airways, and perform invasive procedures as per protocol.
- Operate and troubleshoot advanced medical equipment including ventilators, IV pumps, and cardiac monitors.
- Collaborate effectively with medical control, flight crews, ground crews, and receiving facilities.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient care records and documentation.
- Ensure vehicle and equipment readiness, performing daily checks and restocking supplies.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, regulations, and company policies.
- Participate in ongoing training, simulations, and quality improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent critical care experience (ICU, ED, CCU).
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (or equivalent trauma certification).
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in advanced airway management and ventilator care.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in high-stress, rapidly changing environments.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver patients and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN) or Certified Transport Registered Nurse (CTRN).
- Paramedic certification or experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Experience with ECMO or other advanced life support modalities.
- PHTLS or ITLS certification.
