Job Description

Join the Meijer team as a Distribution Center Associate in Grand Rapids, Michigan! This crucial role is at the heart of our operations, ensuring that products are efficiently received, stored, and shipped to our stores, ultimately reaching our valued customers. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and process inbound shipments with accuracy.
  • Pick and pack products according to order specifications.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks (training provided, if necessary).
  • Perform quality checks on products to ensure they meet standards.
  • Load outbound shipments onto trucks efficiently and safely.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity goals.
  • Assist with inventory management and cycle counting as needed.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack).
  • High school diploma or GED.
