Job Description
Join Electronic Arts as a Quality Assurance Specialist focusing on our EA Sports Austin projects, based at our vibrant Wesley Chapel, FL office. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile gaming titles within a high-growth tech hub environment. You will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and playability of our games, identifying and documenting bugs, and collaborating closely with development teams to deliver an exceptional player experience. While your day-to-day work will be on-site in Wesley Chapel, your impact will directly support our innovative Austin-based development teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute test plans and test cases to identify defects, inconsistencies, and usability issues in game titles.
- Accurately document, track, and report bugs using internal bug tracking systems.
- Collaborate effectively with developers, designers, and other QA team members to reproduce and prioritize issues.
- Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback on game features, mechanics, and overall player experience.
- Perform regression testing, smoke testing, and ad-hoc testing as required.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
- Stay current with game design trends, console technologies, and competitive titles.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance, preferably within the gaming industry.
- Strong understanding of game development cycles and QA methodologies.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A genuine passion for video games, especially sports titles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with various gaming platforms (PC, console, mobile).
- Familiarity with game engine tools (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine).
- Basic scripting or programming knowledge.
- Prior experience working on EA Sports titles.
- Relevant certifications in Quality Assurance.
