Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation) Tech to join our dynamic team in Hialeah, Florida. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems and components within our industrial facilities. This role demands a strong understanding of industrial controls, PLCs, DCS, and safety protocols to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of our equipment. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, motor controls, and instrumentation equipment.
  • Calibrate and maintain process control instrumentation including transmitters, sensors, valves, and analytical equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical manuals.
  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Assist in the commissioning and startup of new equipment and systems.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
  • Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and calibration records accurately.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to resolve technical issues and improve system reliability.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as an E&I Technician in an industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electricity, motor controls, and power distribution systems.
  • Proficiency in calibrating and troubleshooting various types of instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, level).
  • Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and P&IDs.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to all safety protocols.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or vocational training in Electrical Engineering Technology, Instrumentation, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ISA CCST, journeyman electrician license).
  • Experience with specific control systems software (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000).
  • Knowledge of hazardous area classifications and equipment.
