Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Floor Coordinator with a strong focus on Warehouse & Logistics to join our dynamic team in Vallejo, CA. In this critical on-site role, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient flow of pharmaceutical products within our distribution center, ensuring accuracy in inventory, and optimizing logistics processes. You will serve as a key point of contact between warehouse operations and pharmacy staff, facilitating seamless order fulfillment and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. This position requires excellent organizational skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor daily warehouse activities related to pharmaceutical product storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Ensure accurate inventory management, including receiving, put-away, cycle counting, and discrepancy resolution.
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff to fulfill orders accurately and on schedule, addressing any special requests or urgent needs.
- Oversee the proper handling and storage of temperature-sensitive and controlled substances.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality control measures within the warehouse.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and optimize workflows.
- Train new warehouse personnel on operational procedures and compliance requirements.
- Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, order fulfillment rates, and logistical performance.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Assist with loading and unloading of trucks, as needed.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, preferably within healthcare or pharmaceutical distribution.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse operations.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and basic computer applications.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) or equivalent.
- Experience with handling controlled substances and cold chain logistics.
- Forklift certification and experience operating warehouse equipment.
- Familiarity with Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and other pharmaceutical regulations.
