Job Description
Are you a recent graduate with a passion for video games and an eagle eye for detail? Electronic Arts is excited to launch its New Grad Program for QA Testers in 2024! This is an exceptional opportunity for aspiring professionals to kickstart their careers in the dynamic world of game development. As a QA Tester, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and playability of our upcoming titles, working closely with development teams to identify, reproduce, and document bugs. You’ll contribute directly to delivering unforgettable gaming experiences to millions of players worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to identify software defects and inconsistencies.
- Accurately document, track, and retest bugs using internal bug tracking systems.
- Provide clear and concise feedback on game functionality, usability, and overall player experience.
- Collaborate closely with game designers, developers, and other QA team members.
- Perform regression testing, smoke testing, and ad-hoc testing as required.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
- Learn and adapt to new testing tools, technologies, and methodologies.
Required Skills
- Recent graduate (within the last 12 months) from a relevant degree program (e.g., Computer Science, Game Design, or equivalent practical experience).
- Demonstrated passion for video games across various genres and platforms.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle and quality assurance principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity) or scripting languages.
- Familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
- Previous experience participating in game alpha/beta tests or modding communities.
- A strong portfolio showcasing personal projects or contributions related to gaming or software development.
