Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and vigilant Entry Level Midstream Guard to join our team, focusing on secure facility operations in Joliet, IL. This critical role involves maintaining the safety and security of our vital midstream infrastructure and personnel. The ideal candidate will be highly observant, possess strong communication skills, and be committed to upholding the highest security standards. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned facilities and perimeters to detect and deter unauthorized access or activities.
- Monitor security cameras and alarm systems, responding promptly to any irregularities or incidents.
- Control access points, verifying credentials for all personnel and visitors entering and exiting the facility.
- Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
- Enforce company security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance by all personnel.
- Respond to emergencies, including alarms, security breaches, and safety incidents, following established protocols.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
- Participate in ongoing security training and drills.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to obtain and maintain relevant state security licenses/certifications.
- Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing and system monitoring.
- Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in security, military, or law enforcement.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Knowledge of security procedures specific to industrial or energy facilities.
