Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Event Transportation Lead to oversee the intricate logistics of multi-car coordination for various events. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of vehicles and personnel, from planning and scheduling to on-site execution and post-event analysis. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proven ability to manage complex transportation operations under pressure. You will be responsible for managing a team of drivers, optimizing routes, and coordinating with event organizers to deliver superior service.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive transportation plans for multi-car events, considering routes, schedules, and vehicle allocation.
- Lead and supervise a team of drivers, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, service standards, and event timelines.
- Coordinate with event managers, clients, and vendors to understand transportation needs and provide effective solutions.
- Utilize advanced logistics software and communication tools to track vehicles and personnel in real-time.
- Manage budgets for transportation operations, optimizing costs while maintaining high service quality.
- Conduct pre-event site visits and post-event debriefs to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
- Handle unexpected changes or emergencies efficiently and effectively, providing immediate solutions.
Required Skills
- Minimum 4 years of experience in event logistics, transportation management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in coordinating multi-vehicle operations.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and GPS tracking systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as dictated by event schedules.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
