Job Description
FedEx Express is looking for dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Delivery Drivers in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated candidates who are eager to start a career in logistics, even with no prior experience. We provide comprehensive paid training and conduct a paid background check to ensure our team members are set up for success from day one. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and pickup of packages, providing exceptional service to our valued customers. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company vehicle to deliver and pick up packages according to established routes and schedules.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment.
- Handle packages with care, ensuring safe and secure transportation.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues as needed.
- Accurately complete necessary paperwork and use scanning devices for package tracking.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and work environment.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
- Familiarity with the Cedar Rapids, Iowa area.
