Job Description
We are immediately hiring motivated individuals to join our FedEx Express team in New Port Richey, Florida. This entry-level position is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring packages are sorted, loaded, and moved efficiently through our system. Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload packages from vehicles, containers, and conveyor belts.
- Sort packages according to destination, size, and weight, adhering to safety protocols.
- Scan and document package information using handheld devices.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently (training provided).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with other general warehouse duties as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly, and up to 75 lbs (34 kg) occasionally with assistance.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus, but not required.
- Experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) is a plus.
