Job Description
We are urgently seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our team as Dockhands at our fast-paced FedEx Ground hub in Aurora, Colorado. This role is essential to our daily operations, involving the loading and unloading of packages, sorting, and ensuring the efficient movement of freight. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload freight and packages from trailers and trucks.
- Sort packages according to destination, ensuring proper handling and placement.
- Scan packages accurately using handheld devices.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks (training provided if necessary).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 75 lbs (with or without reasonable accommodation).
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and climb for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or dock environment is a plus.
- Experience operating material handling equipment.
