Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated and reliable CDL-A Team Drivers to join Horizon Transit Solutions, operating exclusively for FedEx Ground. This is an incredible opportunity for experienced team drivers to earn top pay with a rate of $0.80 cents per mile, utilizing brand new 2024 model equipment. You and your driving partner will be responsible for line-haul operations, primarily out-and-back routes, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of FedEx freight across designated regions. We offer consistent miles, excellent home time, and a supportive dispatcher team focused on maximizing your earning potential and ensuring your success on the road.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate new 2024 model Freightliner and Volvo tractors as part of a two-person team.
- Safely transport FedEx Ground freight across designated line-haul routes.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and DOT regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and trailers.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and all required paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, management, and your team partner.
- Ensure timely delivery and pick-up of freight.
- Manage time effectively to meet schedule requirements and maximize miles.
- Promote a culture of safety and professionalism at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Minimum of 2 years (24 months) verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record (MVR)
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Professional demeanor and commitment to safety
Preferred Qualifications
- Hazmat endorsement
- Experience with FedEx Ground operations or similar line-haul freight
- Familiarity with ELD systems and electronic logging
- Proven track record of safe driving and on-time delivery
