Job Description
Join the G4S team as a Film Set Location Security Officer, providing essential overnight security for exciting film and television productions in Nuneaton and surrounding areas. This role requires vigilance, discretion, and a proactive approach to maintaining a secure environment for cast, crew, equipment, and confidential production materials. You will be an integral part of ensuring the smooth operation and safety of a busy film set, working primarily during night hours. This is a unique opportunity to experience the dynamic world of film production firsthand while applying your security expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the film set perimeter and specific locations to deter unauthorized access and ensure safety.
- Monitor CCTV and alarm systems, responding promptly to any suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Control access points, verifying credentials for all personnel entering and exiting the set.
- Safeguard valuable film equipment, props, and confidential production documents.
- Respond to and report incidents, emergencies, and security concerns in accordance with company protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of daily activities, incidents, and visitors.
- Collaborate effectively with production staff, local authorities, and other security team members.
- Provide a visible security presence, acting as a deterrent to theft and disruption.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations on set.
- Assist with crowd control and maintaining quiet on set during filming, if required.
Required Skills
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding license (essential).
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively during overnight shifts.
- Proven experience in a security role, preferably in a dynamic environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and highly professional demeanor.
- Basic first aid knowledge (desirable but can be trained).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical fitness to perform patrols and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in film set security, event security, or similar high-profile environments.
- Full UK Driving License and access to own transport (due to location and shift patterns).
- Advanced first aid certification.
- Customer service experience.
