Job Description
We are seeking a friendly and organized Front Desk Associate to be the welcoming face of our Santa Ana retail showroom. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for our valued customers, providing exceptional service, managing inquiries, and ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience from the moment they walk through our doors. This position requires a proactive individual with a passion for home design and a knack for creating a positive atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome all customers entering the showroom.
- Answer incoming phone calls, respond to emails, and manage general inquiries with professionalism and efficiency.
- Direct customers to appropriate sales associates or departments based on their needs.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area and showroom entrance.
- Assist with scheduling appointments for design consultations.
- Process basic transactions, returns, or exchanges as needed.
- Provide information about current promotions, products, and services.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
- Support the sales team with administrative tasks.
- Handle customer complaints or issues with empathy and escalate when necessary.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of experience in a customer service or front desk role, preferably in a retail environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills (MS Office Suite, email, scheduling software).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- A positive, friendly, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher.
- Experience with POS systems.
- Familiarity with home furnishings or interior design.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
