Job Description

Banner Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Gastroenterology Doctor to join our thriving medical team in Chandler, Arizona. Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, including but not limited to inflammatory bowel disease, liver diseases, pancreatic disorders, and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
  • Perform various endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopies, gastroscopies, and ERCPs (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography).
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and evidence-based medicine.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of specialists, primary care physicians, nurses, and support staff.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide emergent gastroenterological care when required.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
  • Commit to continuous professional development and staying abreast of the latest advancements in gastroenterology.
  • Educate patients and their families on their conditions and treatment options, ensuring informed consent.

Required Skills

  • Medical Doctor (MD/DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
  • Completion of an accredited Gastroenterology Fellowship program.
  • Valid medical license or eligibility for licensure in the state of Arizona.
  • Strong clinical diagnostic and procedural skills in gastroenterology.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care abilities.
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality healthcare.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with advanced endoscopic procedures.
  • Experience in an academic or large hospital setting.
  • Participation in clinical research or quality improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages.
