Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Aide with a focus on Green Tech to join our remote team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to Google’s sustainability efforts from anywhere in the UK, specifically based out of Glasgow. As an Environmental Aide, you will provide essential support to our environmental and green technology projects, ensuring data accuracy, assisting with research, and helping to coordinate various eco-friendly initiatives. This role requires a keen interest in environmental science, sustainable practices, and technology, with a strong ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection, organization, and analysis of environmental data related to energy consumption, waste management, and carbon emissions.
- Conduct research on emerging green technologies, sustainable practices, and environmental regulations to support project development.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for internal stakeholders on environmental performance and initiatives.
- Support the coordination of environmental projects, including scheduling meetings, managing timelines, and tracking deliverables.
- Maintain accurate records of environmental compliance activities and certifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability principles into Google's operations and products.
- Assist in developing and implementing environmental awareness programs for employees.
- Monitor and report on key environmental performance indicators (KPIs).
Required Skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Demonstrated interest in environmental science, sustainability, or green technology.
- Basic understanding of environmental data collection and analysis.
- Proactive problem-solver with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability Studies, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Google Data Studio).
- Familiarity with environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001).
- Understanding of renewable energy technologies and energy efficiency practices.
- Previous experience in a remote work setting.
