Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Records Management Specialist with a strong focus on digital archives to join our team. This fully remote position will be instrumental in managing, preserving, and providing access to Google’s vital digital records. You will work within established guidelines to classify, store, and retrieve information, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for information governance, experience with digital asset management systems, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of data integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement digital archiving strategies and policies in alignment with Google's global records retention schedule.
- Manage the lifecycle of digital records from creation to disposition, ensuring proper classification, storage, and retrieval.
- Utilize and administer digital asset management (DAM) systems and enterprise content management (ECM) platforms.
- Conduct regular audits of digital archives to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.
- Collaborate with legal, IT, and business teams to address records management needs and challenges.
- Provide training and support to internal stakeholders on records management best practices and system usage.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of records management procedures and documentation.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and technological advancements in digital archiving.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in records management, information governance, or digital archiving.
- Demonstrated experience with digital asset management (DAM) or enterprise content management (ECM) systems.
- Strong understanding of records retention schedules and legal/regulatory compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in data organization, classification, and metadata management.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Science, Archival Studies, or a related field.
- Certification in Records Management (CRM) or Information Governance (CIGP).
- Experience with large-scale digital migration projects.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace and Cloud platforms.
- Experience working in a global technology company.
