Job Description
Whole Foods Market is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Grocery Stocking Auditor with a specific focus on Night Replenishment. In this vital role, you will be responsible for meticulously auditing our night stocking processes, ensuring accuracy in inventory, product placement, and stock levels across various grocery departments. You will work during overnight hours, playing a crucial part in maintaining product availability and presentation standards before the store opens for customers. This position requires strong organizational skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to work independently to uphold our high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough audits of all night replenishment activities across grocery departments, including produce, dry goods, dairy, and frozen.
- Verify accurate product placement, labeling, and rotation according to company standards and FIFO principles.
- Monitor stock levels to identify discrepancies, overstocking, or understocking issues.
- Document audit findings, report inconsistencies, and recommend corrective actions to replenishment teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and quality control procedures during night operations.
- Collaborate with night team leads and department managers to address audit findings and improve stocking efficiency.
- Assist in minor stocking tasks or corrections as needed during audits.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Required Skills
- Proven attention to detail and strong observational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during night shifts
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and reporting
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Familiarity with inventory management principles
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in retail, grocery, or inventory auditing
- Knowledge of natural and organic food products
- Experience with inventory management software
- Ability to operate pallet jacks or other warehouse equipment
