Job Description

Are you looking for a rewarding career in healthcare but lack the certifications? Monument Health is excited to offer an incredible opportunity for aspiring Home Health Aides (HHA)! We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as HHA Trainees. In this role, we will provide comprehensive training and cover the full cost of your Home Health Aide certification. This is a chance to start a fulfilling career, make a tangible impact on the lives of others, and become a vital part of our healthcare community. No prior experience is required; we are looking for individuals with a strong desire to learn and a heart for service. Upon successful completion of training and certification, you will transition into a full-time Home Health Aide position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in all required training modules and certification coursework.
  • Learn to provide personal care services to patients in their homes, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
  • Understand and practice safe patient handling techniques.
  • Observe and report changes in patient condition to supervising nurses.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for patients.
  • Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and medication reminders as directed.
  • Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, and patient care plans.
  • Demonstrate empathy, patience, and respect for all patients and their families.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor
  • Basic computer proficiency for documentation (training provided)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a caregiving role (informal or formal)
  • CPR and First Aid certification (will be provided if not current)
  • A genuine interest in providing home health care services
