Job Description

Are you a compassionate and empathetic individual looking to make a real difference in people’s lives? Carewatch Bath is seeking dedicated Home Carers to join our growing team. No prior experience in care is required – we believe in nurturing talent and will provide full, paid training to ensure you are confident and competent in your role. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping others, possess excellent communication skills, and are reliable. You will be visiting clients in their homes across Bath and the surrounding areas, providing essential support and companionship. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Administer medication according to training and care plans.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, using equipment as required.
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
  • Perform light household duties, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
  • Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients.
  • Support clients with errands, appointments, and social outings.
  • Accurately document care provided and report any changes in client condition.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the care team.

Required Skills

  • Full UK Driving License and access to a reliable vehicle (essential due to travel between client homes).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A genuine desire to help and support vulnerable individuals.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent, although not required for this entry-level role).
  • Previous experience in a customer service or community-facing role.
  • Understanding of safeguarding principles.
  • First Aid certification.
