Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to join our expanding home care team in Provo, Utah. This vital role involves providing direct patient care in a home setting, supporting individuals with their daily living activities, and ensuring their comfort and well-being. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
  • Provide support with mobility, transfers, and ambulation, ensuring patient safety.
  • Help with light housekeeping duties directly related to the patient's immediate environment.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding, adhering to dietary restrictions.
  • Administer medication reminders as directed by the care plan.
  • Monitor and report changes in patient's condition or behavior to the supervising nurse.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided and observations.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control procedures.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and patience.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow care plans and instructions accurately.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Physical stamina to assist patients with mobility and transfers.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety principles.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current Home Health Aide (HHA) certification.
  • Previous experience (at least 6 months) in home care, long-term care, or a similar healthcare setting.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
