Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Airport Hotel Porter to join our bustling team at our high-traffic location near Bradford. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a dynamic environment, enjoy interacting with a diverse range of guests, and are motivated by the potential for high earnings through excellent service and gratuities. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will ensure a seamless and welcoming experience for all our guests, assisting them with luggage, directions, and various requests.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests upon arrival and departure, offering immediate assistance.
- Safely and efficiently handle guest luggage, from cars/taxis to rooms and vice versa.
- Provide guests with accurate information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
- Assist guests with special requests, ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the lobby, entrance, and luggage storage areas.
- Operate hotel vehicles, such as shuttle buses or trolleys, if required (with valid license and training).
- Collaborate effectively with front desk, concierge, and other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Anticipate guest needs and proactively offer assistance to enhance their stay.
- Adhere to all hotel safety and security procedures and guidelines.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with a proactive attitude.
- Ability to lift and carry luggage weighing up to 50 lbs (approx. 23 kg).
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and move frequently throughout shifts.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role.
- Knowledge of the local area and transportation options.
- Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus.
- Valid UK driving license.
