Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Health Aide to join our team for a critical night shift role within a secure facility in Provo, UT. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide essential care and support to clients in a structured, safe environment, ensuring their comfort and well-being through the night. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, excellent communication skills, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of our clients. A night shift differential is provided to recognize your commitment to these vital hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment.
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
- Administer medication reminders as per care plan.
- Prepare light meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment for clients.
- Engage clients in therapeutic activities and provide companionship.
- Document care provided accurately and timely.
- Adhere to all facility policies and procedures, ensuring client safety and security.
Required Skills
- Current CNA certification or equivalent Home Health Aide training.
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a healthcare or home care setting.
- Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition clients safely.
- Excellent observational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong empathy, patience, and compassion.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a secure facility or overnight shifts.
- Basic computer proficiency for charting and documentation.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
