Job Description

As a Hospital Porter, you will be a crucial part of our hospital’s operations, ensuring the smooth movement of patients, equipment, and supplies. Key Responsibilities

  • Transporting patients safely and comfortably between wards, departments, and diagnostic areas.
  • Moving medical equipment, furniture, and supplies across the hospital site.
  • Delivering urgent specimens, blood products, and pharmacy items.
  • Assisting with the safe handling of deceased patients.
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy environment, including waste disposal.
  • Communicating professionally and empathetically with patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Responding promptly to requests from medical and nursing teams.

Required Skills

  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Physically fit and able to perform duties that involve lifting, pushing, and walking for extended periods.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach.

  • No prior experience required; full training will be given.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of health and safety procedures.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role.
