Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and thorough Public Area Cleaner to join our vibrant team at Hilton Hotels & Resorts in Albuquerque. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of all public areas within the hotel, ensuring a welcoming and pristine environment for our guests and team members. This position offers consistent weekly pay and an opportunity to be part of a globally recognized brand known for its exceptional service and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain all public areas including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, elevators, stairwells, and meeting spaces.
- Dust furniture, fixtures, and window ledges.
- Vacuum carpets and mop hard surface floors.
- Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to disposal areas.
- Clean and sanitize public restrooms, ensuring adequate supplies are stocked.
- Wipe down mirrors, windows, and glass surfaces.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or broken items to management promptly.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and regulations.
- Handle guest requests and inquiries in a friendly and professional manner when encountered.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Physical stamina and ability to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 25 lbs), and push/pull carts throughout the shift.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Basic understanding of cleaning procedures and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Knowledge of various cleaning chemicals and proper use.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
