Job Description
Join Liberty Produce as a Hydroponic Picker and become a vital part of our innovative indoor farming team in Cambridge. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for carefully harvesting a variety of hydroponically grown crops in a state-of-the-art, controlled environment. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with modern agricultural technology, contribute to sustainable food production, and ensure the highest quality produce reaches our customers. We are looking for individuals who are meticulous, dedicated, and eager to learn about the future of farming. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully harvest a variety of leafy greens, herbs, and other hydroponic crops according to established protocols.
- Inspect produce for quality, ensuring only the freshest and highest-grade items are picked.
- Package harvested produce efficiently and accurately for distribution.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the indoor farm.
- Follow strict food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Assist with plant care tasks such as transplanting, pruning, and general crop maintenance as needed.
- Report any anomalies or issues with plant health or growing systems to supervisors.
Required Skills
- Ability to work diligently and meticulously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Comfortable working in a clean, climate-controlled indoor agricultural setting.
