Job Description
We are seeking skilled and meticulous individuals to join our network of Taskers specializing in IKEA desk assembly, with a particular focus on electronic sit/stand models. This role involves independently travelling to client locations in and around Wesley Chapel, FL, to assemble various IKEA furniture pieces, with a strong emphasis on the precise and careful installation of motorized components for sit/stand desks. Successful candidates will possess excellent organizational skills, a strong aptitude for following detailed instructions, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to client homes or offices to perform on-site IKEA furniture assembly, primarily focusing on electronic sit/stand desks.
- Carefully unpack, identify, and organize all furniture components and hardware.
- Accurately follow IKEA assembly instructions, paying close attention to detail for electronic and mechanical parts.
- Install and test all electronic components for sit/stand desks, ensuring full functionality and safety.
- Utilize personal tools and equipment efficiently to complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Ensure a clean and tidy work area before, during, and after assembly.
- Provide excellent customer service, including clear communication and professional conduct.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any assembly-related issues independently.
- Manage your own schedule and appointments effectively through the TaskRabbit platform.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with furniture assembly, particularly IKEA products.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using various hand and power tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand complex diagrams.
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision, especially with electronic components.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the Wesley Chapel area.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience assembling electronic sit/stand desks or similar motorized furniture.
- Background in handyman services, carpentry, or related fields.
