Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and organized Inbound Logistics Clerk to join our team in Fayetteville, Arkansas. In this role, you will be responsible for the crucial task of verifying incoming deliveries, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders, and maintaining meticulous records. You will play a vital role in our supply chain, directly impacting inventory accuracy and operational efficiency. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and invoices for accuracy and completeness.
- Document discrepancies, damages, or shortages and report them to relevant departments.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks or hand trucks, to move incoming materials.
- Maintain organized receiving logs and records, both physical and digital.
- Coordinate with carriers and internal teams regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Ensure all safety protocols and company policies are followed during the receiving process.
- Assist with inventory counts and organization as needed.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of experience in a logistics, warehouse, or administrative role.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with warehouse operations.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Forklift certification or experience operating similar material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
