Job Description
Are you an experienced and professional driver looking for a flexible and rewarding opportunity? Uber is seeking dedicated Independent Livery Professionals to join our network in Corpus Christi. As an Independent Livery Pro, you will utilize your own vehicle to provide exceptional transportation services to riders, ensuring their safety, comfort, and timely arrival at their destinations. This role offers the freedom of being your own boss while connecting with a vast network of potential customers through the Uber platform. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their service, maintain a high standard of professionalism, and are committed to delivering five-star experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a personal vehicle safely and professionally to transport passengers to their requested destinations.
- Maintain a clean, comfortable, and well-maintained vehicle in accordance with Uber's vehicle standards and local regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service, including greeting passengers, assisting with luggage, and ensuring a pleasant ride experience.
- Navigate routes efficiently using in-app GPS and respond to real-time traffic updates to ensure timely arrivals.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and Uber community guidelines.
- Manage personal schedule and availability to maximize earning potential.
- Communicate professionally with riders and Uber support as needed.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license for at least one year (365 days)
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 7 years
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ownership of a 4-door vehicle that meets Uber's vehicle requirements (model year, condition, etc.)
- Proof of vehicle registration and valid auto insurance
- Excellent knowledge of Corpus Christi and surrounding areas
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to use a smartphone and navigation applications
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in livery, taxi, rideshare, or professional driving services
- Familiarity with local landmarks, attractions, and popular destinations
- Access to a luxury or premium vehicle (Uber Black/Premier eligible)
- Bilingual communication skills (e.g., Spanish/English)
