Job Description

BRP is seeking a talented and innovative Industrial Designer to join our dynamic design team in Penticton, BC. Key Responsibilities

  • Generate innovative concepts and design solutions through sketching, 2D rendering, and 3D modeling.
  • Develop detailed design specifications, including materials, finishes, and color palettes.
  • Create high-quality 3D CAD models and physical prototypes to visualize and test design concepts.
  • Conduct user research and translate insights into compelling product experiences.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, marketing, and manufacturing teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Prepare and present design concepts and proposals to stakeholders, articulating design rationale and strategy.
  • Ensure design integrity and brand consistency across all product lines.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and competitive landscapes to inform design direction.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Design or a related field.
  • Proficient in industry-standard CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhino, Alias, Fusion 360).
  • Exceptional sketching, rendering, and visualization skills.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of design projects and problem-solving abilities.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and production constraints.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional industrial design experience, preferably in consumer products, automotive, or powersports.
  • Experience with CMF (Color, Material, Finish) development.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Experience with Keyshot or other rendering software.
  • Knowledge of human factors and ergonomics.
