Job Description
As a Junior Tagging Specialist on the Netflix Professional Path, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the discoverability and user experience of our vast content library. You will be responsible for accurately tagging and categorizing content (films, series, documentaries) with relevant metadata, keywords, and descriptors. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals with a keen eye for detail, a passion for entertainment, and an eagerness to learn the intricacies of content classification within a global media giant. You will work closely with content teams to ensure consistency and quality in our metadata, directly impacting how our members find and enjoy their next favorite show or movie.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately apply metadata tags, genres, themes, and keywords to a diverse range of film and television content.
- Categorize content based on established guidelines and cultural nuances to optimize search and recommendation algorithms.
- Perform quality control checks on existing metadata to ensure accuracy and consistency across the Netflix platform.
- Research and understand various content types, regional specificities, and audience preferences to inform tagging decisions.
- Collaborate with senior tagging specialists and content teams to refine tagging methodologies and improve data quality.
- Stay updated on content trends, new releases, and internal tagging policies.
- Provide feedback and contribute to the continuous improvement of tagging tools and processes.
