Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Junior UPS Designer with a strong focus on User Interface (UI) to join our innovative team in Aurora, Colorado. In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of intuitive and efficient user interfaces for our Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems. You will work closely with senior designers, engineers, and product managers to translate technical requirements into engaging and functional UI designs that enhance user experience and system usability. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation of wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for UPS system interfaces (e.g., control panels, monitoring software, mobile applications).
- Collaborate with senior designers and engineers to understand technical requirements and user needs for UPS products.
- Contribute to user research activities, including gathering feedback and analyzing user behavior to inform design decisions.
- Ensure UI designs adhere to brand guidelines, accessibility standards, and established design systems.
- Prepare design documentation, including style guides, UI specifications, and asset libraries.
- Participate in design reviews, providing constructive feedback and iterating on designs based on feedback.
- Stay updated on industry trends, UI/UX best practices, and new design tools and technologies.
- Support the testing and validation of UI implementations to ensure they meet design specifications and user expectations.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in UI design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Understanding of fundamental UI/UX design principles and methodologies.
- Strong visual design skills with an eye for detail and aesthetics.
- Ability to create clear and effective wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A portfolio demonstrating UI design projects (academic, personal, or professional).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Familiarity with power electronics, data center infrastructure, or industrial automation concepts.
- Experience with user research techniques and usability testing.
- Basic knowledge of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Previous internship or entry-level experience in a design role.
