Job Description
Chase Bank is seeking a highly meticulous and trustworthy Junior Vault Assistant to join our team in Carmel, Indiana. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, a strong commitment to accuracy, and an unwavering sense of integrity. As a Junior Vault Assistant, you will play a critical role in the secure and efficient management of our branch’s cash and valuable assets. This involves precise handling, counting, and reconciliation of currency and other financial instruments within a bank environment. You will be responsible for ensuring that all vault operations comply with strict banking regulations and internal security protocols. Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate counting, sorting, and verification of currency and other valuable assets within the bank vault.
- Process daily cash transactions, including incoming deposits and outgoing withdrawals, ensuring all movements are recorded correctly.
- Maintain meticulous records of all vault activities, including logs, reports, and audit trails, to ensure full accountability.
- Assist with the preparation of cash shipments to and from the Federal Reserve and other financial institutions.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and reconciliation of vault contents to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all bank security procedures and policies, contributing to the overall safety and integrity of the vault.
- Collaborate with tellers and other branch staff to ensure smooth cash flow and efficient operations.
- Identify and report any suspicious activities or potential security breaches immediately to management.
- Participate in periodic audits and compliance reviews as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the vault area.
