Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Late Shift Porter to join our exceptional team at Hilton Norfolk The Main. This is an immediate hire opportunity for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. As a Late Shift Porter, you will be crucial in ensuring the hotel’s public areas, back-of-house, and facilities are meticulously maintained and presented, contributing significantly to our guest experience during the overnight hours. This role offers a high hourly rate for a committed individual.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties in public areas, lobbies, restrooms, and back-of-house areas, ensuring pristine conditions.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to guest requests for assistance with luggage, amenities, or other needs.
- Transport linens, supplies, and equipment throughout the hotel as required.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down meeting rooms and event spaces.
- Empty trash receptacles and transport waste to designated areas.
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues, hazards, or safety concerns.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and stock designated areas.
- Adhere to all hotel safety and cleanliness standards and procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests and support to fellow team members.
Required Skills
- Ability to work the late shift, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Basic understanding of cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Familiarity with various cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
