Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic legal team in Saint Paul, MN. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong focus on legal office operations, eager to support attorneys and paralegals in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our legal practice, handling a variety of administrative tasks, and contributing to the overall success of the firm. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements.
- Prepare, edit, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and presentations with precision.
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic client files, ensuring confidentiality and accessibility.
- Assist with billing processes, expense reports, and time entry for assigned attorneys.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients, answering phones and directing inquiries professionally.
- Coordinate case logistics, including filings, court appearances, and discovery support.
- Conduct basic legal research and gather information as directed by attorneys.
- Provide general administrative support to the legal team as needed, including copying, scanning, and mail handling.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in a relevant field.
- Previous administrative experience in a professional office setting.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.
- Experience with legal practice management software (e.g., Clio, MyCase).
- Notary Public commission or willingness to obtain one.
