Job Description

We are actively seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Pharmacy Assistant to join our professional team in Fresno, CA. In this vital role, you will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the efficient and safe delivery of pharmaceutical care to our patients. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, including prescription data entry and label generation.
  • Manage medication inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and organizing pharmaceutical supplies.
  • Perform routine clerical duties such as answering phones, filing, and maintaining patient records.
  • Support the team in managing prior authorizations and insurance claims processes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Provide friendly and professional customer service to patients and healthcare providers.
  • Assist with compounding medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of medications, including temperature monitoring.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications and pharmacy software systems.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program.
  • Current California Pharmacy Technician license or registration.
  • Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
