Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated LegalTech Research Intern to join our innovative team focusing on the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Law Enforcement. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research and development that will shape the future of legal technology and its application in public safety and justice. The intern will work alongside experts in AI, law, and data science, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic corporate environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research on current trends, technologies, and legal frameworks related to AI applications in law enforcement.
  • Analyze and summarize complex legal documents, case law, and regulatory guidelines relevant to AI deployment.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of AI models and prototypes by providing legal and contextual insights.
  • Evaluate the ethical, privacy, and bias implications of AI tools in law enforcement scenarios.
  • Contribute to reports, presentations, and white papers on research findings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, data scientists, and legal experts.
  • Support literature reviews and competitive analysis in the LegalTech space.

Required Skills

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated interest in Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, and their applications.
  • Basic understanding of legal principles or legal research methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with legal research platforms (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Coursework or projects related to AI ethics, data privacy, or criminal justice.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
