Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse to join our night shift team in Casper, Wyoming. Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the ICU in accordance with professional nursing standards and hospital policies.
- Monitor critically ill patients, interpret complex data, and identify changes in patient condition promptly.
- Administer medications, perform advanced procedures, and operate specialized equipment (e.g., ventilators, IV pumps, cardiac monitors).
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and recovery processes.
- Maintain accurate and thorough electronic health records.
- Respond to emergency situations and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
Required Skills
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Wyoming or compact state license.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required prior to hire.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification.
- Experience with specialized ICU equipment (e.g., CRRT, IABP).
- Trauma nursing experience.
