Job Description
Join our professional and compassionate team as a Live-out Caregiver, providing essential daytime support to seniors in Grand Forks and the surrounding areas. This role focuses on helping clients maintain their independence and quality of life through a variety of non-medical services. Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities such as conversations, games, and light exercise.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including laundry, tidying common areas, and changing bed linens.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring client safety and comfort.
- Administer medication reminders as per care plan.
- Run errands and provide transportation to appointments or social outings (e.g., grocery shopping, doctor's visits).
- Observe and report any changes in the client's physical, mental, or emotional condition to the care coordinator.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for the client.
- Document care provided accurately and timely.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable demeanor.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist with client mobility.
- Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a caregiving role (personal or professional).
- Completion of a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) program or equivalent.
- Experience working with individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other chronic conditions.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
