Job Description
Join Hughes Federal Credit Union as a Member Service Representative in our Catalina Foothills branch! This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy helping others in a friendly, low-stress environment. You will be the primary point of contact for our valued members, assisting them with transactions, account inquiries, and providing information about our products and services. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a genuine desire to provide outstanding service. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Process member transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.
- Respond to member inquiries regarding account balances, transaction history, and service charges.
- Assist members with opening new accounts and applying for loans.
- Educate members on various credit union products and services that meet their financial needs.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and adhere to all credit union policies and procedures.
- Resolve member issues and complaints professionally and effectively, escalating when necessary.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications.
- Ability to handle cash accurately.
- Reliable and punctual.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience, preferably in a financial institution.
- Knowledge of banking or credit union products and services.
- Experience with financial software or core processing systems.
- Associate’s degree in business or a related field.
