Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mobile Clinic Driver to join our dynamic healthcare outreach team. This is a unique ‘WFH Hybrid’ role where you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining our mobile clinic vehicles, transporting medical staff and equipment to various community locations within Pasco County. While the primary duty involves on-site driving and clinic support, certain administrative tasks, route planning, and reporting can be managed remotely. You will play a crucial role in bringing essential healthcare services directly to those in need, ensuring the clinic operates smoothly and efficiently at each outreach site. This position requires excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to safety, and a desire to make a tangible difference in community health.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate and navigate a large mobile clinic vehicle to designated community locations on a scheduled basis.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, basic maintenance checks (e.g., fluid levels, tire pressure), and ensure the vehicle is clean and well-stocked.
- Transport medical staff, equipment, and supplies securely to and from clinic sites.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of the mobile clinic at various outreach locations.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers and patients during transit.
- Maintain accurate vehicle logs, mileage records, and maintenance reports.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clinic staff regarding scheduling, logistics, and any vehicle-related issues.
- Provide basic administrative support and route optimization tasks remotely as needed.
- Handle medical waste and hazardous materials in accordance with established protocols.
Required Skills
- Valid Class E or higher driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience, preferably with larger vehicles.
- Strong understanding of local traffic laws and routes within Pasco County, FL.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently.
- Basic computer proficiency for remote administrative tasks and record-keeping.
- Ability to lift and move medical equipment up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a healthcare setting or patient transport.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B or A.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification.
- High School Diploma or GED.
