Job Description
AdventHealth is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mobile Clinic Driver to join our Healthcare Outreach team. This unique hybrid role involves primarily operating our state-of-the-art mobile clinic, ensuring safe and timely transport to various community locations for health screenings and services. When not driving or directly supporting the clinic’s physical operations, you will have the flexibility to work from home on administrative tasks, scheduling, and outreach coordination. You will be a vital link between AdventHealth and the communities we serve, promoting health and wellness, and facilitating access to essential care.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain the mobile clinic vehicle, including pre-trip and post-trip inspections, basic fluid checks, and minor troubleshooting.
- Transport the mobile clinic to designated community sites, ensuring punctual arrival and setup.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of the mobile clinic, including securing equipment and preparing the space for patient services.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the mobile clinic interior and exterior.
- Manage and organize inventory of supplies and materials within the mobile clinic.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Provide friendly and professional assistance to clinic staff and community members.
- Complete administrative tasks, scheduling, and outreach planning remotely from home as directed.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, maintenance, and community visit logs.
- Report any vehicle issues or safety concerns promptly to management.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Class C (or equivalent) Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of professional driving experience, preferably with larger vehicles.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to traffic laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills for remote administrative tasks.
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience driving a commercial vehicle or large passenger van.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or community outreach setting.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Familiarity with Pasco County and surrounding Central Florida areas.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
