Job Description

Are you a keen analytical mind with a passion for national security and defense? Lockheed Martin is seeking a dedicated and insightful National Security Analyst to join our team in Wesley Chapel, Florida. This pivotal role involves providing critical analysis and intelligence support to advanced defense programs, ensuring our national security posture remains robust against evolving threats. You will be instrumental in assessing geopolitical landscapes, threat actors, and strategic implications, contributing directly to the development of actionable intelligence and defense strategies. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of national security issues, defense policies, and international relations.
  • Monitor and assess global geopolitical events, emerging threats, and their potential impact on U.S. national security.
  • Prepare comprehensive analytical reports, briefings, and presentations for internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including intelligence professionals, engineers, and program managers, to integrate analytical insights into defense solutions.
  • Develop and maintain expertise on specific geographic regions, threat actors, and technological advancements relevant to defense.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions and contribute to the formulation of defense strategies and contingency plans.
  • Utilize various intelligence sources and analytical tools to gather, process, and interpret data.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Political Science, National Security Studies, Intelligence Studies, or a related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in national security analysis, intelligence, or defense policy
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise findings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in intelligence analysis methodologies and tools
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
  • Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. defense policy, military operations, and international security challenges

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in a relevant field
  • Experience with specific intelligence community tools and databases
  • Fluency in a foreign language relevant to current geopolitical hotspots
  • Prior experience working with U.S. government agencies (e.g., DoD, IC, DoS)
  • Project management experience in a defense or intelligence context
