Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Netflix API Integration Technologist to join our dynamic remote team. This is a critical technical role responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust integrations with the Netflix API, enhancing our smart TV and streaming platform offerings. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless content delivery and advanced feature sets for our millions of users. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within the United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable and secure integrations with the Netflix API.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and QA teams to define integration requirements and ensure successful deployment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to API integrations and content playback.
  • Monitor API performance, identify potential bottlenecks, and optimize integration processes for efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all API integrations, including technical specifications and testing procedures.
  • Stay current with Netflix API updates and best practices, proactively adapting integrations as needed.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring high-quality code standards.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of experience with RESTful APIs and web service integration.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js).
  • Solid understanding of JSON, XML, and data parsing techniques.
  • Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience specifically with Netflix APIs or other major streaming platform APIs.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of streaming protocols and DRM technologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
